One of the most frequent questions we get from the community is about the music in Conan Exiles. More specifically you want to know if we’ll be reusing tracks from Age of Conan and whether or not Knut Avenstroup Haugen will return to compose original music for our upcoming survival game.

Today we have some great news for you.

We are very proud to announce that Knut Avenstroup Haugen will return to score Conan Exiles! He will compose several new tracks for the game, giving it that epic Conan feel our audience demands. Here is a small taste of the new soundtrack.

This is a so far unfinished track that Knut’s been working on for our next CGI trailer. You’ll hear the full version in January, when the trailer will be released.

Survival soundtrack

In addition to Knut’s original tracks the in-game soundtrack will also consist of music from the iconic Age of Conan.

Areas and points of interest like the river, the Unnamed City, and the Petrified Forest will have specific tracks associated with them, setting the mood for the gameplay experience of that area. Combat will also have its own theme, obviously.

We want the game to convey that great Conan vibe to the game and Knut Avenstroup Haugen is the perfect guy for the job.
